#CCCXI - Folk is beautiful

.

Folk do bom. Indie do melhor.

Eels - Ordinary Man

Well it´s another warm day
In a city of cold hearts
They all just play the part
Of who they are
And I'm here, On my own
I'd rather be alone
than try to be someone that I'm not
And you seem like someone
Who could appreciate the fact
That I'm no ordinary man

And it's misunderstood
What you've heard about me
I see why you would doubt me but know this
No one has a right
Until they've fought my fight
To understand just where I'm coming from
And it's that fight that brought me here today
Exactly as I am
No ordinary man

Well it's another warm day
In the city of cold hearts
It ends before it starts in their maze
But you, you're not like that
You know where it's at
The only rules you follow are your own
And you seem like someone
Who could appreciate the fact
That I'm no ordinary man

# CCCIX - Reproduzi-vos e pagai os vossos impostos!

.
.
.

Norte-americano. De Chicago. Com um estilo, hum, ..., inclassificável, acho. Andrew Bird, no mais recente álbum, interpreta Ten-You-Us:

Tenuous at best was all he had to say when pressed about the rest of it,
the world that is
from proto-Sanskrit Minoans to Porto-centric Lisboans
Greek Cypriots and and Hobis-hots
Who hang around in ports a lot

Here's where things start getting weird
While chinless men will scratch their beards
Tool their minds to sharpened axes
Brush up on the Uralic syntaxes
Love of hate acts as an axis
Love of hate acts as an axis
First it wanes and then it waxes

(So procreate and pay your taxes)

Ten you us ness less seven comes to three
Them you us plus eleven
Thank the heavens for their elasticity
And that's for those who live and die for astronomy

When Coprophagia was writ
Know when to stand know when to sit

Can't stand to stand can't stand to sit and who would want to know this
Click click click

Who wants to look upon this pray tell

Tenuousness less seven comes to three
Them you us plus eleven
Comes just shy of infinity
And that's for those who live and die for numerology

# CCCVIII - There will always be another!

.
.
.

As memórias, querer-se-ão selectivas?

WOLVERINE
Lyrics & music by Scott William Matthew
Music by John Mark Lapham

I walk through, the dark descends
Fills every room with your absence
Through the lies there lies the prize
To sing the saddest lullaby

Wolverine come slay this dream
Leave me cowering in the trees
Sticks and stones come break my bones
It's come to be my comfort zone

Let there always be another
Let there always be another

Wolverine come slay this dream
Leave me cowering 'tween the sheets
Sticks and stones come break my bones
It's come to be where I belong

Let there always be another
Dream to kill
Let there always be another
